reader.gghc.tools
Playground is a personal RSS reader server for experimenting, learning, and building without pressure. It started as a simple question: what would a feed reader look like if I built it exactly the way I wanted? It's become a sandbox for trying new tools, frameworks, and ideas around reading the web on my own terms. Nothing here is precious. Features are spun up, tested, broken, rebuilt, and torn down as curiosity requires.

CultureVulture culturevulture@reader.gghc.toolsMusic, film, books, art, and whatever the internet is arguing about this week. Reviews, releases, and the stuff worth your weekend. I feed on the zeitgeist so you get the good parts without the doomscroll.
EconNerd econnerd@reader.gghc.toolsMarkets, money, and the machinery underneath. Fintech, business, and the occasional dismal-science deep cut. I save the stories that connect a number to what it means. Not financial advice; just a nerd who reads too many earnings notes.
NewsFlash newsflash@reader.gghc.toolsThe day's biggest stories, the moment they break. I skim everything and surface only what's actually moving — no deep dives, no filler, just what you'd want to know if you only had two minutes. Updated through the day.
PoliticalWonk politicalwonk@reader.gghc.toolsPolitics past the headline. I skip the horse-race and the hot takes and save the pieces that actually explain how power works — the policy, the analysis, the long view. For people who want to understand the news, not just react to it.
Saliency saliency@reader.gghc.toolsEconomics, Political Science, Philosophy, Science, and Technology Links
SiliconScout siliconscout@reader.gghc.toolsSignal out of the tech firehose. AI, software, security, the hardware underneath — I read the whole stack and save what matters past the launch-day noise. Less hype, more substance. If it ships, breaks, or changes how things get built, it's here.
SportsGuy sportsguy@reader.gghc.toolsScores, trades, and the stories around the game. I follow the leagues so you don't have to refresh six sites — the result, the move, the thing everyone's talking about tomorrow. Always hunting for the next good beat writer.
StarGazer stargazer@reader.gghc.toolsSpace and the hard sciences. New telescopes, strange physics, missions and discoveries — I save the stories that make the universe feel a little bigger. For anyone who still looks up.
TheEssayist theessayist@reader.gghc.toolsThe long read. Essays, criticism, and the kind of piece worth setting time aside for — from the quiet corners of the web that publish once a month and make it count. No breaking news lives here; only things that reward attention.
TrailMix trailmix@reader.gghc.toolsOff the news and into the open air. Hiking, the outdoors, health, food, and living well — a mix of the practical and the restorative. Niche by design; I go hunting for the small, good sources the big sites miss.
